John, this is huge news for our movement, and we know this is just the beginning:

I am a proud Californian and a legislator in my home state just took critical action against “ghost guns” — the hand-built guns that can’t be traced and don’t require background checks — John. Let’s make sure this progress serves as the blueprint for the rest of the nation.
Last week, Assemblymember Chris Ward (D-San Diego) introduced new legislation to prohibit the sale of “ghost gun” parts and kits at gun shows across the state. While California has some of the strongest common-sense gun laws in the country, the sale of ghost guns parts and kits are unregulated and circumvent laws that keep firearms out of the hands of those who should not possess them.
In fact, “ghost guns” are designed to work around gun laws, so it’s no surprise that the use of these weapons in crime has increased exponentially in the past few years in California and across the country. And, Friend, these firearms will continue to proliferate in communities all over the state unless immediate action is taken.
Right now, Brady is working to regulate ghost guns and hold manufacturers accountable, and we need your help to do it: Will you sign our petition to show an outpouring of support for regulating deadly, untraceable ghost guns? >> [[link removed]?]
That’s why California’s new potential legislation is so important, and why Brady is working hard on the ground in California and across the nation to regulate these dangerous weapons, including bringing forward the nation’s first two civil lawsuits by victims against the ghost gun industry and working with you to demand that the ATF take action. It is critical to proactively take action on ghost guns before they fuel the illegal gun market any further. We need to build upon this moment and urgently need you to make your voice heard:
Help us show seismic support: Add your name to our petition in support of regulating deadly, untraceable ghost guns! >> [[link removed]?]
