Ro has more than a few thoughts about the filibuster. We’ll let his tweets speak for themselves:

Mark my words. If we get rid of the filibuster, we will see *more* bipartisanship on bills, not less.

The longest filibuster in history belongs to South Carolina's Strom Thurmond, who spoke for more than 24 hours.
He was trying to prevent the Civil Rights Act of 1957 from passing.
The filibuster is a relic of Jim Crow. It’s undemocratic, and it needs to go.

Republicans have filibustered to block popular policies like:
🇺🇸 civil rights protections
🇺🇸 universal health care
🇺🇸 climate change action
🇺🇸 gun violence prevention
The filibuster doesn't encourage compromise, it undermines our democracy.

If you’re ready to help end the filibuster, chip in what you can today to support Ro and our movement.
From universal health care to gun violence prevention, Mitch McConnell and the GOP have used the filibuster to block any and everything that will bring real progress to working families and communities of color.
The filibuster isn’t about broken politics or policies.
This isn’t an accident – the filibuster is doing exactly what John C. Calhoun, a father of the Confederacy, wanted it to: blocking legislation that grants Americans their unequivocal human rights.
We must end the filibuster. Chip in what you can today to help support Ro and the fight to end the filibuster so the Senate can finally pass progressive legislation.
