Hello —

For over a decade, our government has given trillions of dollars in tax breaks to the wealthy while refusing to take action on the minimum wage — allowing the rich to get richer while working folks struggle just to put food on the table.

Millions of Americans work full-time and still live in poverty. This problem has only been exacerbated by the public health and economic crisis that continues to rage on in our communities. It’s unfair and unacceptable.

Look, if some of my colleagues were forced to live on $7.25 an hour, Congress would have raised the minimum wage a long time ago. Working folks cannot afford to wait another minute. If we are going to truly build back better, we have to start with paying every American worker a livable wage.

We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage of $15 an hour. If you agree, add your name to my petition demanding Congress pass the Raise the Wage Act and lift millions of Americans out of poverty. This can’t wait any longer. [[link removed]]

Raising the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $15 an hour is long overdue and it’s a moral imperative. Too many working families are forced to make impossible decisions between paying for prescription drugs, rent, or putting food on the table every single day.

Enough.

I will do everything I can in the Senate to give millions of working people a raise, and I’m asking you to join me in this effort. [[link removed]]

Thanks for signing on.
