Hi Friend,

When it comes to health care, we need more competition, choices, and control. That’s what price transparency would deliver.

This is the first price transparency rule of many being proposed by the administration as part of a new Executive Order to create a truly patient-centered, price-competitive healthcare marketplace.

This proposed rule (CMS-1717-P) would allow you to easily access the real price of healthcare services BEFORE you receive them. This would include the negotiated prices for all insurance companies, as well as self-pay for those who don’t have insurance.

Prices shouldn’t just be limited to hospitals though. You should be able to see what surgery centers, labs, imaging centers, physical therapists, ambulance providers, urgent care centers, physician practices, and pharmacies charge, so you can shop around, budget, and plan.

Price transparency would give you more control, flexibility, and freedom to choose the healthcare services that are right for you. It would create competition and lead to lower prices, more options, and more money saved.

But nothing will get done unless you speak up before 5 p.m. ET today.

Take a few minutes and make your voice heard.

Let CMS know how you feel about this proposed plan--and why it would benefit you to know healthcare prices before you seek care.

Submit your comments on price transparency to CMS before 5 p.m. ET today.

Thank you,

Heather R. Higgins
