Tell Joe Biden:
Take immediate action to fill the four vacancies on the Postal Board of Governors with diverse and community-based members who will build back better the Postal Service, serve our communities, and heal the economy.

John,
The United States Postal Service, like our Social Security system and our highways, is the product of generations of Americans building on earlier successes to unite the country.
Louis DeJoy, a Republican megadonor elevated to Postmaster General under Donald Trump, has sought to destroy that unity by dismantling the Postal Service and selling it off for parts. But because the USPS, like Social Security, is overwhelmingly popular, he’s first trying to undermine it by intentionally degrading service.
His first step to discrediting the USPS is slowing down the mail. DeJoy is undermining the postal workers who have toiled throughout the pandemic, bringing letters, checks, ballots and medication from home to home. Fortunately, there are four vacancies on the USPS Board of Governors, and if Joe Biden swiftly appoints pro-postal Governors, they can end DeJoy’s reign of terror.
SIGN NOW: Tell Joe Biden to act quickly to appoint members of the USPS Board of Governors who will fight to restore the USPS’ universal service!
Donald Trump installed people throughout the government who seek to actively undermine their agencies―from Louis DeJoy at the USPS to Andrew Saul and David Black at the Social Security Administration. Joe Biden needs to fire them all and hire people who believe in public service. Appointing a pro-postal USPS Board of Governors is a prerequisite to firing DeJoy.
People who rely on Social Security have been even more reliant on the USPS during the pandemic than younger people, because they’re more likely to have fatal complications from COVID.
SIGN NOW: Tell Joe Biden to act quickly to save the USPS!
Thank you,
