Dear friend,

2020 was a year like no other but that didn’t stop us staying connected and making sure our activism was as powerful as possible.

CAAT ran a number of popular online events last year including an “Arms Trade 101 & Intersecting Issues” panel discussion that attracted over 500 sign-ups around the world.

Training and events like this are vital for bringing activists together to share the skills, knowledge, and tactics that we can use in our efforts to end the arms trade.

Last year we learned how to adapt our activism to the realities of a global pandemic. This year we want to build on this experience to make our training and events bigger and better than ever.

Can you help by making a donation to support our anti-arms trade training and events this year?

In 2021 we have a government that has committed to increasing the military budget by an extra £16 billion over the next four years while repeatedly failing to find the money needed to feed children going hungry across the country during a pandemic. In this context it’s clear our campaigning is more important than ever.

Training and events are essential for giving activists the tools they need to challenge the power and influence of the arms trade including during the pandemic.

With your support we can:

If you can afford it, can you make a donation to support our training and events programme in 2021?

I’ll give £20

I’ll give £10

I’ll give another amount

Can’t donate right now? We’d love to see you online at our ‘It Starts Here’ event in March where we will gather to connect, share skills, deepen our knowledge and create plans to take on the arms trade. You can register to attend here or get updates about the event on Facebook here.

Thank you for your support,

Siana (CAAT Training & Events Co-ordinator)
Campaign Against Arms Trade

P.S. Times are tough for many of us at the moment and we completely understand many people reading this are not in a position to donate right now. Thank you so much for your continued support in whatever form it comes.
