**Immigration Orders Strengthen American Values, Interests**

**WASHINGTON, D.C.**- This afternoon President Biden plans to sign
three executive orders related to immigration, according to a White
House fact sheet

released this morning.

The orders will focus on reunifying families separated at the border,
managing migration at the southern border while treating asylum seekers
humanely, and strengthening legal immigration and integration.

"Today's executive orders strengthen the values we share as Americans:
family unity, compassion and human dignity," said

**Ali Noorani, President and CEO of the National Immigration Forum**.
"They also advance Americans' economic and security interests, while
restoring faith in our legal immigration system.

"The positive steps the administration is taking must be the beginning,
not an end unto themselves. Bipartisan solutions in Congress are the
path to sustaining immigrants' essential work and offering stability
and certainty to Americans and American businesses. Congress should
build on these first steps to find permanent solutions to improve our
immigration system."
