It was heartbreaking. It was frustrating. It was painful. It was infuriating.

A year ago today, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh testified in front of Congress. Ford was composed, stoic, determined, and honest when talking about the most painful moments in her life. Kavanaugh, by contrast, was angry, ranting, red-faced, disrespectful, and combative.

It is hard to fathom that Susan Collins chose to believe Brett Kavanugh; that after his testimony she thought -- and still thinks -- him fit for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.
