Minnesota is getting left behind by the growing consensus that building more and more prisons isn’t the answer to the nation’s drug problem. Legalizing cannabis for adult use will offer broad benefits across our state. It will help veterans get the care they need and allow law enforcement to focus on more serious crimes.

Of course, we need to create a responsible regulatory framework and get it right. But if any state can do this right, Minnesota can.
