Hi John,

Have you seen the new numbers that the New York Health Department officials put out about New York’s nursing home COVID-19 deaths? The health department put updated numbers out hours after the liberal Attorney General of New York released her new report on the vast undercounting of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes. The poster child for how not to handle a pandemic that primarily affects older people, liberal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his administration undercounted the number of nursing home coronavirus-related deaths by thousands.

With the Health Department’s new report now public, the state acknowledged that the overall death toll related to those facilities increased more than 40 percent. The attorney general’s report suggests that New York’s previous count could even be off by up to 50 percent.

All of New York’s lawmakers should hold the governor accountable for his deadly failure of a response to the pandemic.

Sincerely,

Casey
