Dear Supporter,
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has been pushing all parties to step up with tax cuts and now we’re seeing the results, but we need your help to keep building that momentum.
Last week, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer announced his party’s universal income tax cut that could save Canadian families up to $850 a year.
Now, the Liberals have announced their own big tax cut idea – raising the Basic Personal Amount (the amount of income on which you pay no income tax at all) from $12,000 to $15,000. It could save Canadian families up to $600 a year.
No matter how you slice it, it’s great to see the two frontrunners in this campaign fighting over who can better cut your taxes.
Political parties are rolling out tax relief because you and thousands of other CTF supporters are pushing hard and it’s working. Before the election started, the CTF published a policy wish list. We’ve been on CTV, Global and CBC’s the National.
There’s still nearly a month to go until election day, and we’re looking for more – including a good explanation from every party of how they’re going to pay for their promises!
Elections are the time when politicians are actually listening. Tell them you want lower taxes. Please take a few minutes to email all of the political parties and make sure they know you want more tax cuts.
The more the parties hear from you, the more likely they are to respond to your concerns – and now, more than ever, they’re going to be paying attention.
Thank you as always for your support!
- Todd, Aaron, Shannon and all of the CTF staff
P.S.: Unlike political parties, we don’t get any subsidies from taxpayers. The Canadian Taxpayers Federation relies entirely on donations from people like you to hold governments accountable. Please make a donation today to show your support: https://www.taxpayer.com/donate/
