Hey John,

Did you know that Kansas is one of just 12 states who have yet to expand Medicaid? Did you know that more than 160,000 Kansans would benefit from Medicaid expansion?

Medicaid expansion is critical to Kansas' COVID-19 recovery. Expansion creates jobs, supports a healthy workforce, and improves struggling rural hospitals’ bottom lines. It's not just the right thing to do for Kansans, but it's the practical solution.

Opponents of Medicaid expansion will always cite the cost as their reason to fight against it, so today Laura announced a solution that will allow Medicaid expansion without the worry of the cost to our state: Passing medical marijuana.

Medical marijuana would help Kansas recover by bringing in sufficient revenue to Kansas and covering the cost of expansion -- while also creating Kansas jobs. Both Medicaid expansion and passing a bill to approve medical marijuana will aid hundreds of thousands of Kansans. From expanding access to affordable healthcare to helping Kansans with a chronic illness, children with seizures, and veterans suffering from PTSD -- Laura's plan is a win-win for our state.

If you agree, add your name to show Laura you support her plan to expand Medicaid and pass a medical marijuana bill to offset the cost.
