The contribution of African American communities to this country cannot be overstated. From it’s very inception, this nation was built under the guise of equality and justice, while being grossly unequal and unjust. African American Muslims face an additional layer of harassment and ostracization through frequent religious profiling , targeting, and discrimination.

At the Muslim Legal Fund of America, we stand by our African American brothers and sisters and recognize the incredible sacrifices they have made (and continue to make) that have allowed each and every one of us to be able to live freely in this nation.

As we continue to fight for the civil rights and liberties of all Muslims in America-as we take on the most difficult cases in an effort to change the very laws of the country we live in-we hope we are making them proud.
