John,
The message of the four million people who took to the streets last Friday was crystal clear: we demand bold climate action and our leaders must act now to enact policies that will protect our communities.
And, while the White House continues to be the biggest climate denier of all by refusing to join in on any of the Climate Week activities at the UN this week, the responsibility to lead and fight for meaningful climate action falls to states like Washington.
On October 11th, YOU have the opportunity to power the environmental movement in Washington by attending the Breakfast of Champions [[link removed]].
We’re thrilled to announce that Governor Jay Inslee will join the stage to talk about what gives him hope, what he learned around the country, and how he plans to bring that home to Washington state.
Our guest speaker, Shaniqua McClendon, who works behind the scenes as Political Director at Crooked Media (Pod Save America, Pod Save The People, Pod Save The World) and led the creation of Vote Save America, will speak to the importance of political engagement, midterm elections, and the national landscape leading up to the 2020 Election.
