The chaos of the last four years begs for a course correction. We must restore our democracy, take on climate change, reinvest in our infrastructure, end this pandemic, and support families, small businesses, and communities trying to get back on their feet amid this economic crisis.

It is not going to be easy. It is hard work and will require all of us. But you can be sure that Republican operatives in D.C. are already plotting to undermine this agenda and take back the House. And history is on their side.

After Bill Clinton won in 1992, Democrats lost the House in 1994.

And after Barack Obama won in 2008, Democrats lost the House in 2010.

We have to do everything we can to ensure that we do not lose the House in 2022. And it is going to be very tough: we are starting with the smallest majority in two decades.

We cannot waste a moment; we start now and we keep going, day by day, month by month, never doubting our ability to organize and work together to make tomorrow better for each and every one of us.
