Most of the email messages you receive from 40 Days for Life will come from me – but believe me, there’s a whole team behind all of these updates!

40 Days for Life is blessed with an excellent group of campaign coordinators, volunteers and a fantastic board of directors.

All of the 750,000 involved with 40 Days for Life are praying and working for one thing — to save a baby.

Today I want to introduce you to one of those babies who was so close to being aborted.

I wrote about her in the book, 40 Days for Life. Her mom Rosa had experienced a number of difficult circumstances in life … and she was now pregnant. Then on top of that, doctors told her to get an abortion because her baby was “severely handicapped.”

Reluctantly, Rosa went into one of the largest abortion facilities in Southern California … where she met volunteers from the 40 Days for Life campaign in Orange. And they went to work.

They found new doctors – some of the best (and most pro-life) specialists in the Los Angeles area. They told Rosa that yes, there was a problem with the baby’s legs. But she was a healthy child, and there was no reason in the world to abort her.

With ongoing support from the local community, she had her baby … and named her Milagros--Spanish for "Miracle." Milagros was born with no legs.

Fast forward almost six years … and Milagros and her mom came out to the 40 Days for Life rally in Orange … and signed the 40 Days for Life bus!

Milagros may not be the first child saved during a 40 Days for Life vigil to add a signature to the bus … but just like her name suggests, she may be the most miraculous.

When you are frustrated at the state of our culture — keep going. You may not see results instantly … but in time God will reveal His miracles.

Milagros shows that prayer works. When we pray, babies are saved, abortion workers have a change of heart, and abortion facilities close their doors.
