Proving the polls and pundits wrong, this grassroots team flipped Georgia blue and took back the Senate for Democrats. Now, Raphael is hard at work in the Senate, fighting for the bold, progressive change this country needs.
But here's the bad news: With Raphael up for reelection in NEXT YEAR'S midterms, analysts at The Washington Post report that national Republicans have made him their TOP target - and after our history-making victory, they're already planning on doubling down on more voter suppression and MASSIVE spending to take back this seat and Senate control.
We can't let them succeed - not with the future of health care, voting rights and the strength of our democracy on the line. But with Democrats' slim 50-50 majority in the Senate, losing even one seat could put our entire agenda at risk.
Analysts at POLITICO say that keeping our Democratic majority "hinges" on what happens here in Georgia - meaning failing to hit each and every one of our fundraising goals could put this campaign, and the Senate majority, in serious danger.
So here's where we stand: This is our very first fundraising deadline of the new year and of Raphael's reelection campaign - but with just hours left, we're still falling $23,438 short of what we need to protect this seat from GOP attacks and keep our Senate majority.
