As we round the corner on a full year living with the coronavirus this team is still leading the fight for COVID relief for immigrants.
A few weeks ago, we asked if you could donate to United We Dream in an email that probably looks a lot like this one. One by one, grassroots donations of $10, $30, $50, and everything in between began to roll in.
And it’s because of those folks who gave what they could that on Friday we were able to launch a call campaign targeting Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, demanding they include a pathway to citizenship for our immigrant communities in the next COVID Relief Package. Because of those folks, we were able to drive hundreds of calls just Friday alone.
We’re already making plans for our next direct action. But the truth is that how much funding we know we can count on can make a huge difference when it comes to what we’re able to accomplish next.
Everything we do is because of grassroots donations. Those grassroots donations are critical fuel for the organizing we do to fight for our people. So, please— we’re asking: can you make a contribution of any amount to fund our next round of organizing to demand permanent protections for immigrants?

The virus does not discriminate on the basis of immigration status. In fact, the data shows that our communities — Black and brown people — suffered and were affected disproportionately by the far-reaching effects of the pandemic. Our country will never truly recover from this pandemic if millions of people are left out of vital services like access to health care and economic relief.
