If my team were writing this email, they’d tell you about how painful the process was for me to decide on a name for our new PAC. But, it was really important to get this right, even if we went back to the drawing board at the 11th hour, only to come back to exactly where we'd started.
I wanted a name that really represented foundational work, but also directly acknowledged the fact that we aren’t building the foundation – the community organizers we are going to support have done that already.
Groundwork is really a tribute to them.
Already, we are approaching a critical budget deadline tonight that will decide how far our reach can go on this first step of our journey. Use this link to contribute now and become a GWP Founding Donor: [link removed] [[link removed]]
We knew we wanted to engage with people in their communities because they will be the ones driving change -- but we can lend a hand. They should be met at their table, instead of having to find their way to ours. We want to reach those in the trenches and the shadows who know this process isn’t a one and done thing – it is never finished – it is community cultivation work.
We feel Groundwork embodies all of that, which is why we want you on this journey with us.
Are you willing to become a GWP Founding Donor with your donation today? Your choice to do so will bring you into a national community ready to build from the ground up – strengthening the power of local organizing on the way.

I am grateful, in advance, for your donation and support. Let’s get to work!
With gratitude,
Joe

Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
