Tonight is my first fundraising deadline as Chair of the Maine Dems! I’m honestly kind of excited, and really want to knock this one out of the park.

We have lots of priorities to focus on, but most importantly, we need to keep Democrats at the helm to build a better, more just future for all Mainers. To do that we need the resources, plain and simple.

As a member of the Maine House of Representatives, I witnessed firsthand how important it is to have people that share our values in leadership. Our very first act after taking majorities in the State House and Senate was enshrining many of the patient protections from the Affordable Care Act into law.

On her first day in office, Governor Mills signed an executive order implementing Medicaid expansion. Today, more than 70,000 people have gotten health coverage as a result.

This year, the legislature made its first bill of the session a Covid-19 Patient Bill of Rights.

This is what Democrats focus on when we elect them. We need to make sure we have what it takes to keep moving forward. We only have a few hours left until my first deadline. Can you help me get off to a good start?
