With Kamala Harris's historic election to the vice presidency, we have yet another first to celebrate: This year, California has its first Latino senator -- my good friend, Alex Padilla.
California, the state with the largest Latinx population in the country, now has the representation that they deserve in Senator Padilla.
All of us can count on Alex to advocate for the resources we need to fight the pandemic and build this country back stronger. I am so excited to see what he accomplishes in Washington.
