What the Oregon GOP is doing is reckless and downright dangerous.

This month, the Oregon Republican Party passed a resolution filled with lies and conspiracy theories, calling the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol a “false flag” operation, likening it to the Reichstag Fire, and condemning the members of their own party who voted to hold Trump accountable for incitement of insurrection.

Oregon Democrats are focused on supporting the Biden/Harris administration and helping Oregon and America recover from the pandemic stronger than before. But this resolution isn't something we can ignore, and is part of a pattern of Oregon Republican Party leadership increasingly aligning themselves with far-right conspiracy theories.

We need to do everything we can to defend our hard-fought progress from Republicans who eagerly cater to the worst impulses of conspiracy theorists. That starts with our ongoing work to train, organize, and mobilize Oregon Democrats in 2021 and beyond.
