House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy met with Trump on Thursday in Mar-a-Lago to discuss plans to flip the House in 2022.

After the disgraceful way Trump ended his presidency, it speaks volumes that Republicans are still counting on him for support. They're going to double down on Trump's extremism, lawlessness, and lies because they think it will motivate his base to turn out next year.
