Hi there,
President Biden has been clear that our public schools should reopen as soon as possible -- as long as it can be done the right way.
But that's easier said than done. Many schools across the country are currently too short-staffed to return to in-person learning, and safety remains a serious concern. COVID rates among teachers have spiked in recent months, and the data remain unclear on how opening schools contributes to the virus's spread.
Biden's stimulus plan contains $130 billion to help public schools -- but Republicans in Congress are fighting tooth and nail to make sure the bill doesn't make it to his desk.
With all these challenges, the future of our education system is looking less and less clear, and we need to gauge where Americans stand on this issue.
Should Biden prioritize reopening our schools?
Thanks for your input -- we sincerely appreciate it.
