Sunday afternoon is just about the worst time to send a fundraising email. Folks have already logged off for the weekend and aren’t looking at their inbox.

But this couldn’t wait.

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks in Washington. We’ve confirmed three of President Biden’s cabinet secretaries to rebuild our government. I’ve introduced a bill to raise the minimum wage, worked to support the Biden-Harris agenda, and the looming impeachment trial has taken up a lot of my time.

I’ll be honest — I’ve prioritized this work over fundraising and well, our numbers don’t look great. January is one of the toughest months for fundraising, but we can’t afford to start this year in a weak position.

Right now, we’re about $4,197 behind our January goal. Coming up short could jeopardize our plans for the coming months as we prepare for a tough re-election fight.
