Americans United for Life is proud to share our 2019 State Legislative Sessions Report! It’s jam-packed with reasons to celebrate.

State lawmakers across the country are energized, introducing pro-life legislation in 46 states. Fifty-eight of these bills were signed into law across 22 states, a 25% increase from last year! These laws defend the humanity of children in the womb, protect the health and safety of their mothers, and ensure that our taxpayer dollars are no longer propping up the abortion industry.

Polling shows that most Americans reject extreme abortion bills and support laws protecting women and their children. Most importantly, the number of abortions in the United States reached its lowest level since before Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in 1973! Why? It's thanks to you and your tireless efforts to support women and defend life, as well as all the advocates and lawmakers who work daily to protect the most vulnerable members of your community.
