One of the first things our majority did in the 117th Congress was to reintroduce H.R. 1, a big democracy reform bill that's also known as the For the People Act. I'm proud to have been an original co-sponsor of this legislation, and it includes two of my original bills.

It's simple: there's been too much money, too many special interests, and too little accountability in Washington, D.C. for years. Politicians need to be working for the people they represent, instead of catering to the special interests.

That's where the For the People Act can help make all the difference. It's a sweeping package of reform bills aimed at getting our democracy back on track, including proposals I wrote to increase transparency in elections and crack down on politicians who cheat.
