Friend,
I never wanted to have to send this email.
When the people of the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania gave me the honor of representing them in Congress, I promised to respect the political differences in our community and represent the interests of all my constituents, regardless of political affiliation or non-affiliation. That's why I have always steered clear of partisan drama in Washington.
I have spent the first year in Congress taking meaningful action to combat burgeoning opioid and mental health crises, to stabilize our healthcare system, to lower prescription drug prices, and to protect workers who have too often been left behind. I have purposefully refrained from political theater and have entrusted committees of jurisdiction—of which I am not a member—to perform their Congressional oversight responsibilities.
But I also swore an oath to protect and defend the United States and its Constitution. And what we now know from the President's own admissions, the White House summary of the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky, and the intelligence community's whistleblower complaint, is that the President attempted to use the power of his office to urge a foreign leader to investigate a political opponent. Now, we need answers about the ways in which this jeopardized our national security, undermined the integrity of our elections, and compromised the President himself.
After much careful deliberation, I have made the only decision that would be consistent with the oath I took to support and defend the Constitution and uphold the laws of the United States; I support an impeachment inquiry and believe it is the only way to get all the facts the American people deserve.
This has nothing to do with political gain, it’s a matter of doing what is right.
As this process unfolds, I want my constituents to know that my top priorities remain unchanged: I will continue to be laser-focused on improving the everyday lives of hardworking Pennsylvanians across the greater Lehigh Valley and southern Monroe County.
Thank you for standing with me, friend.

Susan Wild is running for Congress because she believes we can grow overall economic prosperity while still caring for the vulnerable members of our community. And she knows, now more than ever, it's working-class families that deserve a break in this economy — not big city billionaires and wealthy corporations.
But she needs your support today -- her campaign runs on grassroots donations since she's not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. If you can, consider giving anything you can to her campaign today. >>
