Sorry to be so blunt, folks, but I’m getting a little worried about reaching our monthly fundraising goal tomorrow. This is our very first end-of-month goal since I was sworn into the Senate, so it’s a big deal.

You see, I’m the new kid on the block around here. Folks will be paying attention to our numbers to see how strong this grassroots team really is. And with our fragile 50-50 Senate majority, we cannot afford to look weak right now.
