John, being
involved in politics is not a seasonal trend. It’s not like a pumpkin
spiced latte. It’s an always-on duty that we all share, no matter what
time of year it is.

This was one of the biggest takeaways we learned from the historic
election results from Georgia this past election. Leaders like Stacey
Abrams put in the work early to organize communities and register new
voters year-round, not just when it was time to vote.

John, this is
what it’s going to take to hold our district, too. Orange County is still
considered a “purple” political climate. No matter the color or the party
lines, I’m still going to continue calling out the B.S. and advocating for
issues that affect all working families—but I’m counting on your early
support now so I can keep fighting.

set the tone for our success in 2022—but we’re still coming up short of

Before I won my first race in 2018, my district hadn’t been represented by
a Democrat since 1982. I was a “long shot” candidate. But we fought hard,
we organized underrepresented communities, and we built a scrappy but
mighty grassroots movement to change that.

And in 2020, we proved that this wasn’t just a one-off “blue wave”
phenomenon. We continued to strengthen and grow our movement that put
working families first, and because of the support from this community, I
won my first re-election.

I’m so grateful for how far our movement has grown. But every election is
different, and our focus is on securing early resources now to invest in
our community and fend off future challengers for 2022. That’s the key to
our long-term success,
