Tomorrow is our first end-of-month fundraising deadline of 2021. I know we just finished up an election year like no other in 2020, but that doesn’t mean we can rest easy. Especially now that the QAnon Caucus has taken over the Republican Party.

For the past few months, we witnessed numerous Republicans in the House and Senate push ex-President Trump’s lies and misinformation about the election in a ploy to keep their grip on power. They voted against a peaceful transfer of power when they tried to throw out the votes of voters in Pennsylvania and Arizona, even after their extremist supporters engaged in a violent insurrection on the Capitol.

Now, we have people like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene in the House, who don’t belong there. Both peddle dangerous conspiracy theories about our elections, with Greene even claiming 9/11 and the Parkland school shooting were false flag operations. Just this week, they teamed up to mock Parkland survivor David Hogg on Twitter. Boebert insists she should be able to bring her handgun onto the House floor, despite this month’s violent attack on Capitol Hill that left five dead. And Greene has supported social media posts calling for the execution of Democratic elected officials, the very people who are now her colleagues.

While the QAnon Caucus poses a clear threat to our safety and democracy, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is too busy cozying up to Trump at Mar-a-Lago to notice. He flew down there this week to ask for Trump’s help to take back the House and Senate in 2022 — and Trump committed.

One word: COWARDS.

McCarthy, Boebert, Greene and other Republicans are still riding the Trump train in hopes it will help advance their own political ambitions. We have to prove them wrong.

The GOP are already building their war chests and enlisting the help of Trump to try and take the House back from us next year. That’s why we have to start preparing too.
