Hi,

It's been a while since I've reached out -- you may remember me as the Voter Expansion Director here at the party. Having worked on campaigns and in the tech world in the past, it's been a dream come true to join the fight here in Texas. Together, we poured our efforts into registering as many new voters as possible -- and at the end of this last election cycle, nearly 17 million Texans, more than ever before, were registered to vote.

But there is more work to do. Going forward, voter registration will continue to be the centerpiece of our strategy. So alongside Hannah Roe Beck, our new Interim Executive Director, I'm stepping into a new leadership role as the Texas Democratic Party's Chief Strategy Officer. I'm honored to the core, incredibly excited -- and I'm asking for your support today as we start this new phase together.

Growing the number of registered voters is critical to turning Texas blue. There are millions of Texans out there who are eligible to vote, but haven't registered -- and we believe the vast majority are Democrats. We need to register young people who will hit voting age by the next election. But we also need to reach out to folks who have been shut out of the system by Republican voter suppression and ensure that all voices are heard.

Think about it. Texas Republicans have been running the show for decades -- and doing exactly zero for our communities. If your lived experience is that your government doesn't care about you, why would you bother to get involved in the political process? Our job is to show Texans that things can be different. We need to bring more Texans on board and fight for a government that actually serves their interest.

We must elect leaders who represent Texas. So, I'm asking: can you chip in your first $7 to help us start our new voter registration push before our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline?

You know, beating Texas Republicans is an uphill battle -- but, through the work of so many Texas Democrats, we've been steadily climbing that hill. Now, we've narrowed the gap to within striking distance.
