Hey John, this is
Chris — Organizing Director for Real Justice. I’ll try to keep this quick.

First, I just want to share some good news from January, because it truly
is extraordinary: Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to crush our
fundraising goals for Larry Krasner and Tahanie Aboushi, raising over
$135,000 directly for their campaigns.

That kind of grassroots financial support — from more than 5,500 donations
averaging less than $24.93 — not only gives them a HUGE boost, it’s a
POWERFUL validation of their reform agendas. And when they win, it will
DIRECTLY translate to even more revolutionary change in the criminal
justice systems of Philadelphia and Manhattan. ⁣

The one and only drawback, however, is that our own internal fundraising
is pretty far behind this month.

Don’t get me wrong: we are BEYOND proud to be able to help Larry and
Tahanie in such a huge way. But since we’ve been flooring the gas pedal
all month for our candidates, we now need to cover a lot of ground by
midnight on January 31st to keep our organizing work at full-speed in the
months ahead.
