"Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."
- Hebrews 13:1-2
Africa & Europe
- Pray for the IJM Kenya team as they prepare to launch work in Mombasa to address child sex trafficking along the coast. This period prior to launching in March is a key time for building partnerships and relationships with local government — police, prosecutors, judges — and with community members. Pray that this would be the start of greater accountability for perpetrators and protection of children in Kenya.
Latin America
- Praise God for six girls who are now safe and free in the Dominican Republic. At the end of December Dominican police spearheaded

two rescue operations , with IJM's support. The survivors, ages 12 to 17 years old, are now safe in a government-run home. Three suspects were arrested and denied bail. Pray for the survivors as they adapt to the safe-home. Pray that they will find peace and will be able to build trust with the safe-home staff and IJM staff, who will help them design personalized recovery plans.
South Asia
- Praise God for this week's successful conviction of two criminals who had abused and enslaved 12 people at a sand mine, including 5 children. For over two years, these families were forced to work 15 hours a day in gruelling conditions. IJM and local authorities rescued them in 2013, and we've been working since then to prosecute the mine owners for trafficking and bonded labor. After a lengthy trial, both perpetrators were convicted this week! Praise God for the diligence of the justice system and pray the news of these convictions travels widely in the media so business owners know they cannot enslave others.
Southeast Asia
- Pray for the arrest of a suspected perpetrator of online sexual exploitation in the Philippines. She has been evading arrest for some time. Pray for her arrest and a just trial, and that this accountability would prevent her from abusing children in the future.
IJM HQ & Global Partners
IJM global headquarters is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the US.
- Praise God for financial provision through the abundant generosity of donors in 2020. In an especially turbulent year, we were encouraged by each supporter who showed up and continued to fuel the work of rescuing victims and restraining perpetrators. Pray that our donors would receive joy in giving, and that we would steward those resources with wisdom, efficacy and creativity to protect millions from violence.
