Friend,

Last week, thousands of dedicated supporters took the pledge to demand the Biden-Harris Administration and Congress take urgent and meaningful immigration action within the first 100 days. And one week in, President Biden and Vice President Harris have already followed through on their commitment of introducing a bill to fix our harmful immigration system, including a pathway to citizenship for the nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants living, working, and contributing to our communities.

This is a great first step. But the American people must ensure we cross the finish line.

Our representatives in Congress must immediately act on this legislation and ensure a pathway to citizenship for the undocumented community. Will you add your voice to this vital call?

Now is our chance. Sign our pledge urging Congress to start transforming our harmful immigration system as soon as possible.

The Biden-Harris Administration has taken steps to help keep families safe and together and do right by the millions of hardworking immigrants who have helped keep all of us safe and cared for during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to sending the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 to Congress, the President’s Executive Orders so far have included:

Protecting DACA,

Beginning to end the “remain in Mexico” policy,

Eliminating the discriminatory travel bans on largely Muslim-majority countries and immigration restrictions on many African countries,

Pausing deportations and repealing the Trump era enforcement priorities that cruelly separated families across the country,

And halting the building of an unnecessary border wall.

These are important steps toward repairing the damage, chaos, and cruelty done over the last four years, ensuring that our families and communities can more fully contribute to our country in the future.

This is a result of so many people like you demanding we fight hard to fix a failed immigration system from Day One. But this is just a start. Reform of our nation’s immigration system is far from over. We hope to very soon see meaningful action to roll back the previous Administration’s efforts to destroy the asylum system, implement the deeply harmful public charge memo, and slash legal immigration avenues under the pretext of pandemic restrictions, as well as other actions.

Congress must take action as soon as possible — but our representatives must know that the American people demand reform now.

Urge Congress to take immediate action today. Add your name.

Together, we will continue to make major strides towards ensuring that immigrants in this country no longer have to live in fear of deportation and are able to reach their full potential in the place they call home.

Thank you for using your voice today,

------Original message------

Friend,

Tomorrow is the day. The Biden-Harris administration will take office and can begin the difficult, vital work of leading our country as we attempt to recover from the chaos of the past four years — and tackle the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As the administration plans its agenda for action over the next 100 days, one thing is certain: President-elect Biden and Congress must prioritize passing legislation that creates a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in our nation as soon as possible — and the American people must come together to ensure that it happens.

This is urgent. Will you use your voice today and call on the Biden-Harris administration and Congress to pass immigration legislation in the first 100 days?

Make sure President-elect Biden and your representatives know that the American people are committed to building a working, humane immigration system #ForOurFamilies. Add your name to our pledge today.

Immigrant communities have lived with uncertainty and fear for too long. During its tenure, the Trump administration took a long-failed immigration system and weaponized it. And after a long year where millions of immigrants have been on the frontlines during the pandemic, we know that no economic recovery is possible without the contributions of immigrants.

From DACA and TPS recipients, to asylum seekers at the border, to the millions of immigrant workers — many of whom are undocumented — filling essential roles in industries such as health care, food service, agriculture, shipping, construction, and so many more, the entire immigrant community in this country deserves a modern, fair, and humane immigration system.

President-elect Biden must use his first 100 days to send an important message: the American people are ready to realize our role as a nation that welcomes immigrants and Congress must act.

This is a critical moment. We must ensure that transforming our immigration system is a priority over the next 100 days — and the next four years. Pledge your support today.

True inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic means ensuring that millions of workers no longer have to live in fear of deportation and can reach their full potential and continue to provide for their communities without being trapped by our harmful immigration system.

Thank you for supporting a pathway to citizenship today,
