Dear John,
The need for reform in Washington is greater than ever, and Kevin has a plan. Did you see his earlier email about his Roadmap to Reform? He asked us to forward it just in case you missed it the first time. Keep scrolling to read it in full.
The bottom line is that we need measures in place to stop the rampant corruption in DC. Things like term limits and giving Congress members enough time to actually read the legislation they’re voting on will go a LONG WAY to restoring sanity in our political system.
This is just one of the many commonsense solutions Kevin is working on in Congress. We cannot continue down this path of self-destruction. It’s up to conservatives like you to fight back before it’s too late. Kevin is fighting hard for you, John, but he needs your help.
We need to raise $3,840 more before Sunday night at MIDNIGHT to hit our first major fundraising goal of 2021. It’s so important that we send a strong message to the radical left that they cannot continue to get away with pushing their radical agenda!
The Dems think they have all the power in Washington right now, but the real power lies with the people. Let’s take a stand for sanity in Washington, and all of America.
Thanks,
From: Kevin Hern <[email protected]> Dear John,
We need reform in Washington, and we need it NOW.
That’s why I introduced legislation on Capitol Hill this week to hopefully change the way we do things around here – for the better. We need transparency and accountability, and I believe that the Roadmap to Congressional Reform is the best first step we can take.
Trust in Congress is at historic lows, but I know that we can do better for the American people. By implementing important reforms like term limits and eliminating earmarks, we’re going to go a long way towards ending the appearance of corruption that plagues us and causes many to label DC a swamp.
The Roadmap also includes measures to restrict pay and recess before a Congressional budget is passed in a timely manner, stop the Revolving Doors Act, and requires that there be time to read every bill before it’s voted on.
It’s hard to believe these commonsense practices aren’t already in place!
The politicians in Washington have let down the public too many times, and we have to stop rewarding them for their failures. Let’s make elected officials work for their constituents again — the way it has always been meant to be.
Thanks for your support,
