Watch the powerful short film about the Dakota Access Pipeline: [link removed]

Dear Friend,

"My mind remembers but the heart feels it"

A short film, written and directed by Josué Rivas and produced by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Earthjustice, shares the perspective of a Native elder from the future as she looks back on the successful fight to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline.

This future can become our reality if people make it clear today that there is no justice while oil still flows through DAPL. We’re excited and heartened by President Biden’s recent action to cancel permits for the Keystone XL pipeline, and his bold policy moves toward addressing the climate crisis. Now we’re asking him to take the next step by using his executive authority to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline.

We are in a crucial phase in the fight to shut down DAPL. A January 26 appeals court ruling affirmed that the pipeline is indeed operating without a permit. Now all eyes are turning to the new administration to see whether President Biden will require the U.S. Army Corps to comply with the law by taking the pipeline out of operation. Today, we need your help making it clear to President Biden that our calls to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline will only grow louder. Please take a moment to watch this powerful film and share it with your friends. If you have a Twitter account, send a tweet to President Biden @POTUS and ask him to stand with Standing Rock and shut down DAPL.
