Thank you for your support of
Celebración 20
An evening to celebrate 20 years of Latino youth reaching their highest potential.
Fueling the next 20 years of Latino youth realizing their dreams of a bright future.
Celebración 20 was a night to remember - and one that would not have been possible without the generous support of every single one of our friends and sponsors. It was an honor to be able to recognize our awardees - Candace Kattar, Cecilia Muñoz, and Neighbors Rising - and especially moving to be reminded of the ways that they have profoundly impacted the lives of those in our community, and beyond.
Our Lift Fund, unveiled during the event, will ensure we can carry on Candace Kattar’s legacy of never giving up on any young person in need. Recognizing that there are certain times in life when some kind of temporary “lift” is needed, Identity’s Lift Fund will provide short-term financial relief to Identity clients facing truly extraordinary crises or hardship. Thank you once again to the entire Identity community for coming together to celebrate 20 years of Latino youth reaching their highest potential. We could not have asked for a more energizing start to the next 20 years of Latino youth realizing their dreams than Celebración 20.
¡Infinitas gracias!

** Neighbors Rising
------------------------------------------------------------
** Identity Champion Award
------------------------------------------------------------
Neighbors Rising is a non-political response to anti-immigrant and anti-other sentiments that are spreading and disheartening communities across the region. As a virtual group of neighbors who live in DC and Montgomery County, Neighbors Rising encourages collaborative and individual support of local nonprofits, like Identity, which already provide expert and effective direct services to neighbors in need of help and community embrace. Their many, many acts of kindness encourage and welcome vulnerable young people and their families as valued, respected neighbors.

Identity assists thousands of youth and their families living in high-poverty areas of Montgomery County. We work with them at school, in the community, and on playing fields to improve social-emotional learning, achieve academic success, and prepare for work.
