January is almost over. The days are starting to get longer and the temperature is rising. As lockdown continues we are seeing the overwhelming impact it is having on women; Fawcett continues to call on the government to make sure they are representing women's interests as we consider the impact that the virus and the lockdowns are having.

Call for Evidence: Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Unfortunately far too many women have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace and Fawcett is working with organisations from across the four nations of the UK to tackle it. We are calling for evidence from those who have suffered sexual harassment in the workplace to tell us about the response of their employer and what they thought about this response.

The evidence and stories shared will help us develop tools and resources for employers. We need employers to understand their role in and how to tackle sexual harassment. If you have experienced sexual harassment, please do considering sharing your experiences to help us push for change.

International Women's Day

This International Women’s Day we are celebrating the leadership and power women have achieved across the world. This year we have seen more women elected to office – from Kamala Harris being inaugurated as the first woman Vice President of the United States to Christina McAnea being elected the first woman General Secretary of Unison. Barriers are being taken down every day. And we are going to help each other cross them more and more.

Join us Monday 8 March at 5pm to hear from an amazing line up of powerful women who are leading the way in politics, business, activism and journalism. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from and celebrate the achievements of women in power and for them to share their journeys to leadership. More information coming soon!

The event will be recorded so everyone can take part in the celebration at a time that works for you.
