Newt Gingrich, the man who paved the way for Trump's rise, went on Fox News to condemn Speaker Nancy Pelosi for calling for Donald Trump's impeachment.
He told Fox News host Mike Levin that “Pelosi is the most dangerous Speaker of the House we've had, probably in American history.”
According to Gingrich, Speaker Pelosi can't be trusted because she comes from California, “the center of left-wing nuttiness.” The view is completely in line with Republicans who think impeaching Donald Trump for inciting a violent Capitol attack that cost five American lives is “a colossal waste of time.”
We disagree. Speaker Pelosi has been a force to be reckoned with. In successfully and quickly coordinating the House's second impeachment of Trump, Pelosi has embodied confident leadership in a time of great need.
