Great question! If the recall receives the necessary signatures to qualify, there will be a special election held. On the ballot, two questions will be asked of voters: First, “Shall Gavin Newsom be recalled (removed) from the office of Governor,”; Second, “Candidates to succeed Gavin Newsom as Governor if he is recalled.” For the second question, the candidate for Governor who receives a plurality of the votes wins the election.
