By organizing working class voters in the Midwest to expose Trump’s false populism, Our Revolution halted the march of his authoritarian movement before it destroyed our democracy.

Then we made hundreds of thousands of voter contacts and helped Democrats take back the Senate in Georgia.

But our work is far from done. We know that it’s not enough to elect Joe Biden and a Democratic Congress — far from it.

We know that we have to scrape and fight for every inch of progress by creating a political incentive structure that forces the establishment Democrats to adapt our platform.

While some organizations are content to talk endlessly about what’s wrong, Our Revolution is focused on fighting systemic injustice and winning concrete victories.

Here’s a personal example: a few years ago, in a White House meeting, Vice President Joe Biden told me it was impossible to raise the minimum wage to $15 bucks an hour for federal contract workers. According to him, it wasn’t politically possible yet.

But our movement didn’t take “No” for an answer — I, along with my talented co-workers, helped organize thousands of low-wage workers to go out on strike to Fight for $15 alongside progressive champions like Bernie Sanders and Keith Ellison.

After years of hard work and attacks from corporate power, we have finally made tangible progress. President Biden just announced that will take executive action to raise the minimum wage for low-wage contractors to $15, and he included a wage hike in his new $1.9 trillion relief bill.

While it’s not perfect, it’s real progress and proves that when we organize from both the inside and the outside of the Democratic Party, we win.

The bottom line is this: We need to ramp-up our grassroots organizing to make sure Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress turn their progressive promises into policy and stand-up to corporate power.

John, corporate power and the politicians they control in both parties are already doing everything they can to impede our progressive agenda. But Our Revolution won’t take NO for an answer. Can we count on you to pitch in before our critical end-of-month deadline to help progressives fight back?
