Several Democratic presidential candidates report spending $60 (even as high as $90) in online advertising to raise one dollar. The DNC required candidates to collect at least 130,000 individual donations in order to qualify for the last debate because they apparently understand the outsized value of an individual donation ([link removed]) , no matter how small.
