John,

Washington D.C. is home to over 700,000 people, more than both Vermont and Wyoming, and they pay the highest per-capita federal income taxes in the United States, yet they have no voice in the halls of Congress.

That is taxation without representation.

With Democrats holding a majority in both the legislative and executive branches, we have a real shot at making D.C the 51st state.

Sign your name now to demand Congress support democracy and give D.C. residents the representation they deserve.

DC Statehood Now

D.C residents meet all the requirements of statehood. They pay their taxes, serve on juries, are forced to sign up for the draft, but in the United States Congress, they have no voice.

During the January 6th insurrection, had Washington D.C already been a state, they would have been able to call on the national guard and help prevent the events that took place. Instead, their hands were tied.

Make no mistake about it, even with our slim majority, Republicans will continue to doing everything in their power to stop D.C residents from receiving full representation.

People across the country are speaking out in favor of D.C statehood and we have real momentum. We need to do everything in our power to amplify the voices of D.C. residents by joining the call for D.C Statehood today.

DC Statehood Now

Voting is one of the most sacred rights in our democracy. It’s wrong that Congress would allow 700,000 people to go without it because of political calculations.

We’ve never been closer to making D.C statehood a reality, but we need to add your voice.

Thanks for signing our petition.
