Governor DeWine Appoints Tornichio to Greene County Court of Common Pleas

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Adolfo Tornichio to the Greene County Court of Common Pleas, General Division.

Tornichio, of Beavercreek, will assume office on March 1, 2021, and will be replacing Judge Michael Buckwalter, who was elected to another Court of Common Pleas, General Division, judgeship in Greene County. Tornichio's appointed term will expire on February 8, 2023.

After three years as a county law clerk, Tornichio was an Assistant Greene County Prosecuting Attorney for 16?years, representing the county in many felony-related cases. Most recently, Tornichio served as a judge in the Greene County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division; presiding over cases involving delinquency, children services, criminal and legal custody, and more.?

Prior to county-level service, Tornichio was a prosecuting attorney for the Village of Waynesville, acting law director for the City of Xenia, and a private practicing attorney.

Tornichio earned his law degree from University of Toledo, College of Law, after graduating from Wright State University with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Tornichio currently chairs the Greene County Bar Association By-Laws Committee. He previously served in leadership positions within Beavercreek's Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Greene County Fraternal Order of Police.

Tornichio is active in various judicial associations, chambers of commerce, and the Xenia Rotary Club.
