Hey, all you painters and poets, filmmakers and illustrators, street artists, meme-makers, and jazz-playing whiz kids out there!

Prick up your ears and listen. The zeitgeist is crackling with dread and alarm. The politicians are mumbling and shuffling in confusion. The citizens are seething with anger.

We need a new mindset, one with the capacity to shock us from our communal coma. We need boldness. We need energy. We need velocity.

We need a brutalist new aesthetic.

Our request is a simple one. We’re calling on you — and every other creative among us — to rise, in unity, with purpose, and begin together to dream up the hues, tempos, rhythms, and tones of our new shared reality.

First, tell us:
—Who are your artistic heroes and mentors, past and present?
—What about them excites you on your artistic journey?
—What specific works of art drive you to create, today?

Then, send us the stuff you’re working on. We’ll publish the gems in our year-end Blueprint For a Revolution issue.

The revolution needs a certain giddiness, a fresh and new brutality — a fuck-it-all toneshift.

Show us how to navigate from mo to pomo to the brand-new nomo era.

for the wild,
