CALL TO ACTION: Oppose unemployment benefits for illegal immigrants (LB 298)

Fellow Republican,
Please take immediate action and e-mail the legislature or call the legislature and specific legislators (instructions below) to let them know you oppose their attempt to rewrite Nebraska law to make illegal immigrants eligible for unemployment benefits in LB 298.
Nebraska is paying out record unemployment sums to legal citizens and this bill is estimated to force Nebraska's taxpayers to foot an additional $1.2 million per 300 cases to provide public benefits to individuals with no legal right to be in the United States. It is grossly unfair for the government to reward and incentivize individuals who broke the law with taxpayer funded benefits.
Contact members of the Business & Labor Committee to let them know you oppose this outrageous bill - public benefits should be for legal citizens of the United States only!
