John,
In November, Black voters showed up and delivered a Biden presidency — then showed up again to flip the Senate. And since Inauguration Day, we’ve already seen big steps forward:
Trump’s racist “Muslim ban” — which targeted Black people from African nations — has been lifted. Activists and organizers pressured Biden/Harris to make it happen.
Congress is moving toward implementing a $15 federal minimum wage so more working people can make ends meet. Activists and organizers are leading this fight.
Construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline has been shut down to prioritize our planet’s future over the oil industry’s profits. Indigenous activists and organizers did that.
We celebrate these wins, and we credit the activists and organizers working to make them real.
But when it comes to criminal justice reform and policies for Black people targeted by mass incarceration, the Biden administration still has a long way to go — and Color Of Change needs help from people like you to keep up the pressure.
So we have to ask, John: Can we count on you to chip in $3 a month to help power the fight for Black liberation? Every contribution will help Color Of Change build on the wins we’ve already secured and expand our efforts to hold the powerful accountable to Black people.

Choose an amount that feels powerful to you as an investment in this critical work:
As the first full week of the Biden/Harris administration comes to a close, we have to give credit where credit is due. President Biden has already moved important reforms forward with the stroke of a pen, but it took decades of hard, thankless work to get them to his desk. And this progress is only possible because organizers — led by Black women and women of color — took to the streets to demand change.
John, anti-racist organizing is long-term work that requires a long-term investment. The fights we’ll win for Black people next month, next year, or five years down the road start with us, right now.
Color Of Change will continue to demand mass releases, policies that lead to zero profit motive in the carceral system, and justice for Black people who are incarcerated. Because a new year means new opportunities to dismantle racist systems that target Black folks — at all levels of government.
That’s what Color Of Change is all about, John. The success of our campaigns for prison phone justice, decarceration, community-led public safety, and prosecutor accountability depends on organizers like you. If you are able, please chip in $3 and become a monthly supporter today.

John, we know the Biden administration has just begun, and we never expected to get everything we wanted in the first month. But if we take our foot off the gas and stop demanding better for Black people, we risk watching the progress we’ve made slip away. We won’t let that happen.
Thank you for staying in the fight with us and becoming a monthly supporter to power our campaigns for racial justice.
