So, guess what, it turns out that there are consequences for spouting lies about the election system after all.
Dominion Voting Systems -- the voting equipment company that Rudy Giuliani lied about being “owned by Venezuelans,” “close to Chavez,” and “extremely hackable” -- is fighting back.
They just sued Rudy for defamation in federal court.
Giuliani is already facing charges for personally defaming a Dominion employee who has had to go into hiding after the threats he received. And some prominent attorneys have been calling for him to be disbarred altogether.
We think the message is exactly right -- officers of the law don't get to spin nonsense on primetime TV whenever their clients have a bone to pick. But we want to build momentum, and we need your help:
