[ Free ]Free Press Action

[ [link removed] ]For the next 2 years: Every moment counts.

Friend — Right now politicians who want to end the digital divide and fight disinformation and hate are at the helm of the White House and both houses of Congress.

But just one week into the Biden administration, Mitch McConnell and other Senate Republicans have given clear signals that they will continue to obstruct progress — even with thousands of people in the United States dying every day.

It’s clear that Free Press Action will need to fight to make sure issues like affordable access to truthful, lifesaving information are prioritized — and that we are able to achieve as much real progress as possible before the 2022 midterm elections.

Will you help Free Press Action reach our goal of signing up 21 new monthly donors in District of Columbia by Jan. 31 — just two days away? Become a monthly donor today to help provide the reliable source of funding we need to make the most of every opportunity we find throughout the year.

Because our independence is so critical, Free Press Action does not take a single dollar from business, government or political parties. That means we rely on individual supporters like you to fuel our work.

By providing an ongoing source of funding every month of the year, monthly donors are the backbone of our movement for media justice, racial justice and human rights. Become a monthly donor today.

There are signs that the Republican Party is again closing ranks around Donald Trump — with Senate Republicans claiming that the second impeachment of Trump is unconstitutional and the Arizona GOP censuring politicians who validated their state’s legitimate vote.[1]

But make no mistake, our movement has put the forces of disinformation on the defensive — most notably when Twitter permanently banned Trump. And, after playing an essential role in shaping portions of December’s COVID-19 relief bill, we are ready to continue our advocacy in Congress and make vital changes that improve people’s lives.

When opportunities or new challenges arise, we need resources on hand so we can respond in real time. Please become a monthly donor today to provide our movement with the reliable source of funding we need to move quickly.

Thank you for everything you do for this movement. Together, we will make real progress toward a truly just media system in the coming years.

In solidarity,

With people like you making our movement stronger, we can drive real progressive change. Make a monthly donation today to help Free Press Action reach our goal of signing up 21 new monthly donors in District of Columbia by Jan. 31 — and provide the resources we need year round to respond to new opportunities and challenges as they arise.
